Jonathan Anderson, season by season, always riveting us by his contemporary aesthetic. And this spring 2014 show, maybe the bold one. This collection looking so bold, isn't because of its bright color or bold material, but because of its super light look and artsy crafty details.
Anderson, oppose the British bad weather not with cot or wool, but he create some thing new contemporary nudity with his light weight sheer fabrics. There are no tailoring but draping, molding, banding, wrinkling, pleating, twisting and suspending the fabrics into beautiful shape.
The opening dress and fourth first are the lightest with a twist. The slight sheer tops with little opaque square in front are the most amazing numbers. Another numbers have some origami-like technique, paper-like stripes folded together. Anderson using multilayer pleated fabrics and even fringe-like, neat shredding gossamer in the collection.
This is a great collection and show us the new innovation of fashion, not to wear everyday, but more to be admired.
