Typography - Trend Spring/Summer 2014

Go with a word!
Designers make a statement with adding a strong word into their collection. This spring/summer 2014 you can wear words. Show the message to the world, or decorate your outfit with it.
In DKNY and Missoni, typical 90's typography is coming back. The brand name and logo transform into some attractive prints in monochrome black and white. Humberto Leon and Carol Lim spread an ethical message with their powerful collection, in order to remind us about illegal and over fishing.
Ashish in collaboration with one of the most famous brand and logo, Coca-Cola, create young, loud and eclectic apparel. Jeremy Scott, with his high sense of humor create a statement word that anyone can resist. Dior's Raf Simons combine a band of words into artsy masterpiece. And maybe the strongest look is Alexander Wang's 'Parental Advisory', it will become a huge trend, indeed.

Regal and Royal - Trend Fall/Winter 2013 Womenswear

During last fall/winter fashion week in lot of fashion capital, we've seen a blast of royal and regal looks. Medieval style infused in the modern way, relic baroque come in artsy way. The looks still wearable with touch of high quality crafty and artsy design. European regal-medieval, royal velvet fabrics, crown on the head, and lavish laceworks, brocades alongside prints and tapestry are dominated.
See Dolce & Gabbana collection with heavy embellishment and mosaic prints, inspired by Sicilian Cathedral's glassworks. The look even more perfect by crown and bold jeweleries. The Elizabethan era was the inspiration of Sarah Burton's Alexander McQueen, look closer to her collection and find superb details on it. It's dark, goth, but romantic.
Other designer use prints and fabrics. Valentino use floral prints with tapestry accent, while Marios Schwab and Naeem Khan use velvet and other use brocade and lace to infuse the baroque style. Other thing to indulge this style are off shoulders with puff or bell sleeves. Cape-dress also be the right choice. Lenght of the dress is the key to keep it present and not costumy.
Wear and be a princess!
