Norma Hauri Fall/Winter 2016 Tokyo Fashion Week

Norma Hauri Fall/Winter 2016 Modestwear
Tokyo Fashion Week

Norma Hauri, a notable Indonesian modestwear (or commonly called moslemwear in Indonesia) designer, had a chance to present their latest collection in Tokyo Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2016.
Norma Moi, the designer, inspired by Borneo culture and nature then mix it with Japanese flair.
Her collection perfectly cover the body but give it a strong style. While the other Indonesian modestwear designer prefer to use feminine line and pastel hues, Norma choose some strong, bold, and little bit goth ensemble.
We love the crinoline cage bustier, the kimono shape coat, and also pleats and knits accent.

NurZahra Fall/WInter 2014 Moslemwear

Relaxed Batik
NurZahra is a modern Indonesian moslemwear brand with Windri Widiesta Dhari as designer. This brand launched in 2010, took its name from Arabic words, 'luminous light'. It's clear that NurZahra committed to apply high craftsmanship with Indonesian tradition alongside modern design and technology.
For Tokyo Fashion Week fall 2014, NurZahra presenting relaxed silhouette looks, and heavy layering as common in moslemwear. The combination are interesting; long tunics over the pants, and dresses under jackets. You will in love with its color palettes; indigo, white, black and beige perfectly blend together without looking too excessive.
Look closer and you will find that batik techniques and jumputan dyed create magnificent fabric on NurZahra collection. It's like a beautiful acculturation between traditional Indonesian batik with Dutch colonial influence.
