Fall/winter 2014 presentation is really the new day for Louis Vuitton, and so Nicolas Ghesquiere. This is the first collection for golden boy, Ghesquiere, as creative director in this luxurious French fashion house. Ghesquiere want to share his new spirit with front row, he write on a note "Today is a new day. A big day…Words cannot express exactly how I am feeling at this moment…Above all, immense joy."
Louis Vuitton presentation come in simple way, without carrousel, fountain, train nor escalator. Just plain catwalk set in Louvre’s Cour CarrĂ©e. Ghesquiere want every fashion people enjoy and appreciating his design, the cloths itself.
The collection, mostly come in A-line and high waist silhouette. You will love the color palettes, soft and so autumn. You will also love both glossy and matte material, alongside fur and prints. Look at the perfect pencil pants in green or simple high-waisted a-line short skirt.
But Ghesquiere also inject the collection with his aesthetic, you can see the techno-cutting and fabric manipulating. In smart way, he also balancing the new design with Louis Vuitton tradition, the LV monogram perfectly blend together, accessorizing the new Louis Vuitton women.

Marc Jacobs' Journey In Louis Vuitton
American Genius in Paris!
Before the all black au revoir show of Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2014, I never imagine to write Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs separately in another post. Marc Jacobs is luxurious French fashion house and Louis Vuitton is American genius designer at the generation. Both are perfect combination. But eventually, the day has come. Marc Jacobs officially leave Louis Vuitton. and spring/summer 2014 Paris Fashion Week is the last collection.
Then I search and found, admire, and realize, he is still my favorite designer all the time in womenswear ready to wear section. His design are always beyond gorgeous. The show always spectacular. The bags are every single precious thing to carry on.
This is the long journey of an American Genius in Paris. A journey of 16 year dedication to innovation, creativity, and fashion. I choose 4 of the best from the last to the early 21st century.
