After a very theatrical show last season (spring/summer 2014), the lunatic asylum, fashion people wondering what will happen in the next season. But Thom Browne is more than you thought. He knows for fine precision tailoring, quirky new shape, and unique concept. But you have to remember, he was the man who responsible for dressing First Lady Michelle Obama, beautiful wearable ladylike dress.
This pre-fall collection it's outstandingly beautiful, from look or from technique. Browne use leafs prints jacquard in black, red, white and dark blue. Other magnificent look come from silk tie. Browne use curved seems and spiral constriction. This technique also use for body hugging skirt. For tailoring numbers, Browne gives a twist in his jacket, by adding a drop-shoulder on it.
Overall, Thom Browne once again prove to us, he is excellent designer in menswear.

Lunatic Assylum!
Woah! For me, now, Thom Browne is beyond anything in New York Fashion Week. And his latest collection for spring/summer 2014 are extraordinary high fashion.
Thom Browne lead us to the quirky world when Elizabeth I and Joker live in the most dramatic, dark, whimsy and little humor asylum. This is a fashion show meets theatrical, poetic ambiance and high creativity meet high end modern innovation. Look at the fabrics, everything are beautifully mixed from latex, rubber, leather, lavish fabrics. The silhouette are just crazy. This is, maybe, the most architectural, sculptural, molded, shape in ready-to-wear show. It's asylum couture!
His aesthetics are perfect combination of the deceased Alexander McQueen meets the ultra high-innovated Husein Chalayan. How Thom Browne pay attention to details, are just magnificent. You'll need more time to rave his design, you'll be geared to analyze how he make that clothes.
Maybe, lot of his collection are impossible to be worn, but he created more than clothes, it's a superb show. But if Michele Obama herself choose to wear it, Thom certainly has more value.

CFDA Awards 2013 Winners

CFDA Awards is just like Oscar for fashion fields in America. Every year, The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) select a nominee and then announce who are the best in their fields. Nominations for each award category are submitted by the CFDA Fashion Awards Selection Committee, made up of the 400+ members of the CFDA, along with top fashion retailers, journalists, and stylists. The nominees, as well as recipients of the honorary awards are ratified by the CFDA Board of Directors.
This year,  The 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards took place on Monday, June 3 at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center. And this are the winner on each category.
