Dries Van Noten collection is always full of surprise. He can jump from one thing to another without leaving his signature of details and layering. Although some numbers are predictable from his menswear show a few months ago, the entire collection are freaking new!
Van Noten has difference idea of spring, he create a dark, weight, almost goth collection for spring 2014. The floral numbers come in shabby hues, the swank numbers come in gold, not that shiny. It's just depressing in good way.
The detail are stunningly beautiful. The ruffles, like in flamenco, molded into giant roses over the frocks. Others just looking great in some skirts. The gold baroque embroidered skirt is my favorite. The barbed wire prints is also cool. The other things that we love, is how Van Noten combine the savvy element with some miserable nuance. Look how dries hiding the gold jacket under the linen.
This is maybe not your favorite spring, but Dries Van Noten imaginations are always beyond real fashion world.
